Party venue confirmed

I rang the Warren today and they have confirmed that they will give me the hall half price for the party, so I'm really, really pleased!

I had the awful task of ringing Chelsfield Lakes Golf club and cancelling the hall they offered me. The man who arranged it for me, Gordon Dawson, is such a nice guy and he originally offered me a half-price hall and gave me a raffle prize but the Warren is for the Saturday and it's more suitable for my purpose. So I will send Gordon a couple of free tickets to the party and a massage or reflexology voucher and hope he forgives me for messing him about.

I had a £10 donation yesterday from a lovely lady - Debbie - who has HD herself, which was really touching. I've also had money donated from 3 more people I don't even know! I'm truly touched by people's kindness.

I'm thinking about tunes for the party now.........

I've acquired one of those stepometer thingies - I've got to get back to training but I'm concentrating on fundraising more at the moment.

I've got some more stuff from the boot sale, left over from the Donkey Derby I helped out at yesterday. My study is looking more like steptoe's yard each day !
