There is a young lady who is doing the same Great Wall of China trek for the same reason as me, only sadly a month earlier. She's only 21 and she has been tested positive for the HD gene, which means that she will get the illness (her mum has it).
That's the bad news. The good news is that her boss has donated FIVE GRAND to the HDA - how amazing is that!!!!!
Also, she did a pub crawl to collect money from the drinkers and it raised £920 in one evening. And not only that, it must have raised a lot of awareness too!
So here's what I'm thinking..... who wants to do a fundraising pub crawl with me and Jane ???????????????

The Huntington's Disease Association has been a great support to me and my family but is struggling for funding and has had to let some of its much needed careworkers go. Less sad is the fact that I would love to do a pub crawl but as you know can't at the moment... maybe we could do a belated one in 6 months time, just for a laugh :-))
