Yesterday I did a brisk walk for an hour and a half. I guess I walk about a mile every 20 mins so I probably did about 4 miles or just over. My legs were aching by the time I finished as I purposely chose a route that had some steep roads. I soaked them in a lavender and juniperberry bath and then went out dancing in the evening and my legs did me proud!
I think the universe answered my prayer because Chelsfield Lakes Golf Club offered me the venue half price and gave me a raffle prize too! The man was amazing, I can't believe he was so generous. I've provisionally booked it for Friday 14th November. The dance floor is small and that concerns me a bit but there's lots of floor space to dance as well, so I think it will be OK.
Today I spent hours looking for a venue for my charity party. Richard has kindly offered to dj for me. It's quite short notice and I am restricted to dates because I have to avoid Bromley ceroc weekends, Orpington ceroc weekends, camber weekend and gazza bashes (charity do's which are modern jive focused).

Gordon Dawson www.chelsfieldlakesgolf.co.uk What a lovely and charitable man he is!
The venue holds up to 200 people and I'm hoping for at least 100. I'm really excited about the party!
I've had some very generous donations on my website www.justgiving.com/deborahgoodman
I even had a donation from a lady in America who is the sister of a client who doesn't even know me! I am overwhelmed at people's generosity.
A big thank you to all who have donated so far.
