Hips don't lie

Yesterday (Sunday 8th Feb) I set off at 8.30 am to do my scheduled 3 hour walk. Then my friend Stuart text me to say he'd be over at 10 to walk with me. So I did an hour and then went home to meet him. The revised plan was to walk another 2 hours together. I must say, it was wonderful to have some company for a change!

We walked from my house in Orpington, to Charles Darwin's house, in Downe. I must admit we took a detour cos the signs ran out, but luckily we came across people in the middle of a snowy field who knew we were going in the wrong direction! So, we turned left at the edge of the field and was back on track!

After 2 hours walking we had a WONDERFUL pub lunch of game pie (pheasant, boar, venison and rabbit) it was absolutely delicious!

Then we walked home a different way and that was another hour and a half! So all in all, I did 4 and a half hours walking yesterday! No wonder my legs ached and my hip hurt! But I had a lovely soak in the bath later on with pine oil and feel much better today!

Back to the gym tomorrow morning for more .......
